I don’t pretend to know anything about being a new mom…or babies for that matter. So, for my latest post, I’ve called in for back-up! Here are 4 gifts the new mom will really want to hug you for:

1. This is a breast-feeding must-have ($44). It makes life so much easier!  Bonus…when you wear it and stand up, you look like a ballpark vendor. 

2. No one tells you to change an infant sheet in their crib you have to take OFF the bumper pads, what a pain. This bad boy saves the day: it snaps on top of the crib sheet so all you have to do is unsnap and wash.

Pair the sheet with a sound machine like this award winning Sleep Sheep ($24). This little guy clips to the crib and plays four soothing ‘white noise’ sounds to lull your baby to sleep so you can go downstairs and watch the Kardashians in peace…I mean, clean the house and get dinner ready…right.

3. I’ve gotten so much use out of this Pottery Barn diaper caddy ($24). I have one in my nursery and another downstairs for easy access during the day. For a new mom, fill the caddy with diapers and this ($12.50) absolute best blanket in the world. I’ve washed mine about a hundred times and it’s still in great shape.

4. Baby Cottons is one of my favorite indulgent brands. Their clothes are not the cheapest, but they are super soft and hold up really well.
