Creative Valentine’s Day Dates

The downside to Valentine’s Day, I think, is that the holiday can feel a little forced and predictable…flowers, chocolates, cheesy greeting card, romantic restaurant… You catch my drift, no? Nothing wrong with any of these things, but if you’re looking to mix it up and do something a little more creative, here are a few ideas:

Geocaching – This is like a high tech treasure hunt using your smartphone. Simply visit geocaching.com to find the coordinates of a geocache in your zip code.

Recreate your first date

Board games and pizza – Keep it simple and pick up Domino’s and a game of Backgammon.

Cook something together – Try pizza, fajitas or sushi

Rent a luxury car and then go to dinner at McDonalds – Ok, you don’t have to go to McDonald’s but going out for a whopper in a Rolls-Royce sounds pretty funny

Laser tag – Just because it’s fun

Take a class– Try salsa dancing or pottery
